Calavera Hills

What's up everyone.

Today, a few of us are going to get together at Calavera Hills in Oceanside. There is a nice oval with some dirt tracks and jumps there, perfect for practice and bashing.

If you are interested, hit me up at sdelectricrc@gmail.com with your cell. I will get back to you and give you directions.

Introduce Yourself

All,

With this discussion, please introduce yourselves and give some of your r/c background to the rest of our community. Also, mention what you have in your "garage" and what some of your up and coming hop ups will be.

I will start.

My name is Matt and I have a Traxxas Slash (stock) in my garage. As a kid, I had a Grasshopper until I smashed the chassis and left it for dead.

I am toying with the idea of going brushless, although I like the idea of keeping it stock to race in the beginner and intermediate classes at the raceways. I am planning on getting another 7 cell NiMH Orion Rocketpack soon as well as a new body. I am open to suggestions though.

Thanks,

Matt

Vista/Oceanside Track

All,

My buddies and I have been practicing fairly regularly at the Vista/Oceanside track (Calavera Hills). Has anyone else practiced here?

I was thinking that weather permitting, I would try and get out there this Sunday. If you are interested and/or need directions, I can post them here. The track is a nice oval, with some jumps and nicely packed dirt.

There are also other areas for bashing off of bike jumps. This is the place where Joe took his Rustler VXL over my head. To see the video, click here: http://www.youtube.com/user/VelineonRacer

Click on the video about jumping over my friend Matt's head. The track/area is really cool and worth checking out.

Welcome

Hello everyone!

Welcome to San Diego Electric R/C! This is a blog used to unite all of the San Diego County electric r/c racers. My intent is to use this site to organize practices and carpools/trips up to the area's raceways as well as a place for us to discuss r/c racing. Please feel free to post anything which has to do with electric racing only.

I can be reached via email at sdelectricrc@gmail.com.

Looking forward to uniting everyone for the hobby we all enjoy!

Thanks,

Matt
